Missouri Route 66 - Lebanon

Wrink's Market in 2008. As you can see by peeking inside, at the time it was still a grocery store

LEBANON, MISSOURI. Terry Wrinkle behind the counter at Wrinks's Market in 2008. A local business that was opened on old Route 66 in Lebanon by Glenn Wrinkle in 1950, this famous little 66 attraction closed in 2005 at the time of Mr. Wrinkle's passing. This photograph was made during my visit in 2008, when I had the privilege to talk to Terry, Glenn's son, who was trying to make a go of it himself and had reopened the store in 2007. Sadly, when I returned for a visit in 2010, the store had closed down for good as a grocery and convenience store. It reopened as D.C. Decker’s Cowboy Emporium in 2011.
